It seems the iconic Hopfest beer festival has settled down for good in Dubai, more specifically at The Irish Village. 2011 is the 7th consecutive year that Dubai is hosting this renowned beer festival at the same location as the past six years: The Irish Village.
The 3-day event that has now gained global renown kicked of today, Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Dubai’s celebrated Irish Village. As we write this blog, the festivities of the Hopfest that began at 12 noon today must be at their peak as it’s still a couple of hours before the event winds up for today at 2.00 a.m. Dubai time. The festival will continue tomorrow (Friday, July 22) and the day after (Saturday, July 23) from 12.00 noon to 2.00 a.m.
Some hot features of Hopfest 2011 include more than 100 varieties of ales and beers from around the world, and of course electric live performances by Dubai’s favourite bands such as the Maplejacks, Adam Shero, The Vision and DJ Mark. So for those lovers of the golden beverage that Hopfest is all about, the event must have come as one of the life’s happiest surprises.
Furthermore, the first 200 visitors to the pub during the three days will be also given free t-shirts. To make the festival more exciting, anyone wearing their wristbands from Thursday and Friday will win a free Saturday Brunch as well as an original “I survived Hopfest 2011” inscribed tee. What matters most to Dubai however is the fact that visitors to the emirate will be able to experience the very best of Dubai’s nightlife scene during Hopfest 2011.
While the thousands of Hopfest enthusiasts jostle for space inside the air-conditioned marquee at The Irish Village – guzzling lots of familiar favorites and sampling some unusual draughts, rocking to the stimulating live music by their favourite bands – Dubai with The Irish Village will be setting a new tradition in place.
